I know that giving knitted gifts is not always the best idea, but I was wondering if you had a genius idea or a surprisingly appreciated gift?

I'm mostly trying to find ideas of items hard to find or expensive in stores that would be best handmade.. Trying to avoid scarved, mitts, socks.

So far, I found that :

• People with dogs absolutely love having knitted sweaters for their dogs. ????

• For small kids, neck warmers with an "apron" in the front are appreciated by the parents since its hard to find. (I live in Canada)

• Made "belly warmers" for my german friends, it's popular over there and non existent here ???? I had no idea it existed but its pretty useful to avoid snow in your back / pants.

Any other genius ideas??? Thank you in advance!
