My mom told me she absolutely didn’t want me to buy her anything this year for Christmas. So I made this for her Latino themed ornament collection instead!

I traced a simple image of La Virgen de Guadalupe from Google onto thin cotton fabric. Then I used thrifted embroidery floss to go over the tracing and added accent beads (also thrifted). Then I sandwiched everything together using some felt, turned the piece right side out, lightly stuffed it, and closed the opening.

From start to finish it took roughly 7/8 hours. I hope she can feel all the love that went into it.
