I recently started knitting socks with dpns because I was tired of rearranging my stitches every round on magic loop, and in my head, for some reason, I thought dpns would be easier... So I bought the first dpns that I saw, which turned out to be these 20cm (8 inches) prym carbon needles in 2.5 mm (US 1.5). When they arrived, I enjoyed knitting with them, felt like my tension was definitely better with them but also, I could see that they were looong. I went back online and searched for a shorter one, but for some reason 20 cm is the standard and I couldn't find a 15 cm (6 inches) one easily. Still looking. I don't see my self taking this set up with me to a cafe or outside of my house in general, because frankly, I feel like Edward Scissorhands. I'm thankful that they're not metal at least. Would buying 15 cm dpns solve my problem? How do you knit in public?
