I FINALLY managed to go beyond that initial chain/row after 3 years an…
![]() | So a little backstory, when I was about a year or two old, they discovered a small hematoma in my brain. There was nothing to do with it, just observe it and it absorbed itself, it was the best option for the health of such a little baby. BUT they speculated that the whole situation would cause me to have slight problems with manual activities, e.g. catching a ball or writing. And I'm great at catching a ball, but on the other hand I've always had a problem using scissors and everything indicates that it's from that. And similar gestures have always been a problem for me, so I also had more trouble with crochet than I "should have" if it weren't for the hematoma. And after three years of learning on/off like that (because how much frustration can you endure at once, seriously!), I made this miracle. It doesn't look like a miracle, but it's the first time I've managed to get beyond that first chain and I am crying tears of joy and pride It's uneven, I know, and I haven't been following any patterns, just learning the basic process behind it. It's also not the only yarn I've been practicing on, I know fluffy yarns aren't very beginner friendly but so far I found it to be the easiest to work with with the limitations of my hand movements (for the same reason I started to hate acrylic yarn with a burning passion) I have no questions for now, I just came here to share my joy and pride and happiness because it's middle of the night where I live and everyone that I could show this is sleeping Also yes, I've been using paper clips as stitch markers, I'm broke and they work fine!
