Knitted this hat, to practice for 2 other colorwork projects I want to do and so I could learn to work in the round. I had been having a hard time working in the round, turns out I just needed a bigger project (I hate magic loop). I used the traveling loop for this and dpns at the top. You can see that my first row of colorwork was waaaayyy to tight, but I think it got better as I progressed.

The pattern is "quick ombre hat". I knitted the toddler version because I didn't want something too big to practice on and I can donate afterwards. I also choose the toddler version as opposed to baby version because I wanted to get rid of the small amount of blue yarn I had left, which is red heart super saver, so it's kinda scratchy and not super suitable for baby skin. Which is why the color combo is horrid, but toddlers don't care about that, so it should be fine. I put the pink softer yarn at the bottom, so that that's what touching the toddlers skin , so whoever gets this when I donate it, won't feel itchy.

Lastly, I have question about fair isle colorwork. Is there a reason why you should use Norwegian purling over regular purling when knitting fair ilse?
