A friend opened a shop with crafting supplies and I wanted to support her, so I started this project a month ago. When I was a kid I tried to cross stitch a few times with kits, but never made it very far. It's possible that I took on too much for my first project with this pattern... please don't look too closely! In the end I am proud of finishing, but one day (far in the future) I may try it again on higher-count fabric (and be sure to grid it in some way to hopefully avoid so many mistakes!)
