Into the Woods Sweater
| My version of the Into the Woods sweater! I’m really happy with how it turned out! It’s described as a men’s design, but I wanted a sweater I could wear for skiing and a big trip I have planned soon, but didn’t want all technical gear (not that wool isn’t technical!) My main wants were something I could wear while riding a bike (sleeves and body slightly longer), have the neck open or closed (going to add some toggles), and looked nice. Also, I find with some sweaters that the armpit is too low or the sleeves are too baggy/big to layer over. For the sweater, I chose a size based on my desired ease rather than the suggested size, though I could probably have gone down one more size in the body. I also narrowed the placket (14 sts rib vs 20), sleeves slightly longer, and CO the same stitches for ribbing as the body so it doesn’t rise up/come tight at the bottom. I did use a smaller needle size for the ribbing, though I forgot on the cuffs ????♀️ I don’t have very good photos, but the saddle shoulder looks really nice and I found the pattern easy to follow! Yarn was Cascade 220 in Burnt Sienna Heather, I forgot to keep all my tags but I used slightly less than called for. Also, my first time doing two at a time sleeves and it was definitely something I’ll do again - kept the same tension and length on both sleeves and they both were finished at the same time haha Also, this is knit bottom up and I really liked it as a change from top down!
