Found a little thrown together embroidery kit for cheap at the thrift store the other day with a bunch of floss colors, a few aida scraps, a needle, and a couple embroidery hoops, figured I'd give cross stitch a try. It's far from perfect and I struggled with the backstitch parts of the pattern but I'm happy with how it turned out for a first try. Also wow it took a while for such a small piece (3.5 inch hoop), I have a ton of respect for y'all out here stitching huge pieces with tons of colors. Pattern is "bumble bee" available for free on the DMC website.
