I found this pattern on Pinterest, from an Etsy shop belonging to SamXStitch. I made some slight modifications to the original pattern (mirroring and flipping it) to more closely resemble the Dragon’s Fang and the Flame of Tar Valon from my favorite fantasy book series, The Wheel of Time. This paisley-like pattern reminded me of how weaves of the One Power are described in the series.

This was my first time making sure all of the stitches were made in the same direction (well, all of the black stitches are one way, and all the white stitches are the other way), as well as railroading all of the top stitches. While I could have been a bit more consistent with individual stitches, I like the uniformity and overall look of the piece. ????
