Long-time follower, first time poster and looking for some feedback, thoughts, tips.

I just finished this piece by StichesLoversShop on Etsy. I love it, but wondering if adding a border along the entire state outline will help the sky pop more. Backstitch? Full cross stitch? Would love some feedback.
