[WIP] self drafted parts to a traditional nahua blouse.

I have been taking a class on zoom from an artist/designer/teacher located just south of Mexico City. She is teaching her method for making the traditional blouse in her community. I used motifs that are traditional to her community (with the exception of the corn stalk & birds-that's a Navajo Tree of Life). This is six pieces: the collar (front, back, shoulder pieces) and sleeves. Once I have pieced this together; I will attach the lower plain cloth portion. There is still a lot of hand sewing to go; but the cross stitch part is completed here. This has been a real stretch for me. Two reasons: More intense design and cross stitch than my usual and the class is fully in Spanish; not my native language. The artist and designer who teaches the class is known as Chio Blanche on Instagram. The community formed with the other students across the miles is really wonderful.
