So, last month I finished my “Newhaven” sweater ( https://www.reddit.com/r/knitting/s/e2BIYECjKN ), and I decided “you know what? I’m going to enter it on the county fair!” It was the first time I’ve ever entered anything, but I was really happy with how the sweater turned out. Especially since this was the third time this yarn had been knit up, and the previous two sweaters it tried to be just weren’t right for this, that, or the other reason.

I finally got down to the fairgrounds today to see how I did, and I am happy to say, I got a first place ribbon! I did not get “Best in Division”, but I am not mad about it; the Best in Division was really good! The shoulder of it is visible in the right bottom corner, it was also a sweater, demonstrating extremely even stitching in stockinette, and great transitions from plain stockinette to colorwork to lace, and back. Whoever made that sweater should be proud of their work, they absolutely deserve their win!
