chasing after a PE-2 heading towards a base, have been shooting the guy a bit and he has a slightly damaged engine, i unload most of my rounds to secure the kill and i VISUALLY see his wing get torn off and he crashes, no hitmarks, he crashes and i get an ASSIST, like WHAT?

turns out the FW190 who crashed into the ground 2 minutes prior who tapped one of his engines with a single shot got the credit, but the fact i tore OFF his wing and got zero indication of such is BAFFLING
