Basically there's two different sources of damage when you shoot Illari ult, the direct hit damage of 5 and an area of effect of 50. Something I recently noticed is if you only hit the direct damage and not the area of effect, any amount of damage to the sunstruck target will cause it to explode. If you hit the area of effect, then you need the normal amount of damage (90) to activate the explosion.
