At approximately 6:00 am this Friday, at least 6 unidentified kidnappers violently detained Unión del Barrio member Amanda Trebach while she was on a community patrol outside the Terminal Island staging area in San Pedro, California.

Union Del Barrio is a revolutionary political organization dedicated to the liberation and self-determination of "la raza" (a term encompassing Chicano, Mexicano, and Latin American people). Founded in 1981 in San Diego, California, the organization advocates for the rights and interests of working-class communities of color within the United States, which they refer to as "Aztlán," and expresses solidarity with liberation struggles throughout the Americas.
