I realize these are sold using pogo pins but I had the parts mostly laying around. First pass result pretty successful. The magenta stay in place and don’t pull out when you pry them apart. Next will be to add the connectors to work with expansion boards. Total cost was roughly $1.00 CAD

Steps: * soldered a small strand of 32 awg wire to a small piece of copper of tape. * apply the copper tape to the 4mm round magnet. * wrap additional copper tape around magnet until it barely fits in the 1x2 brick with holes. * splice in wire for lamp led. This was a pre wired 0402 smd in cool white.
