It finally happened.
| I'm 44 years old, I've been building Lego my whole from probably the age of 6 until my college years and then from my mid 20s until presets day I've been building Lego sets. Inevitably at some point during a build I'll be convinced that a piece is missing only to be saying just minutes later, "oh wait there it is!" Until this set. I've slowly been build the Back to the Future Delorean. I got to step 255. I was supposed to use two of piece number 6013082. I found the first piece but when it came to the 2nd one, I had that , "it's not here moment." But this time the "oh wait, there it is," never came. I searched and searched again but it was not there. But this post is not a complaint. Quite the opposite this is a congratulations to Lego. Over the course of decades and hundreds of set, to only ever be missing one piece, is an amazing success rate and a testament to the quality control of the company. And as for getting the missing piece, it was easy and surprisingly consumer friendly. An easy to use website where you just enter the set number, then the piece number, then you name and address. That's it. No proof of purchase, no uploading a receipt, just what's the piece and where do we send it. So thank you for being so consistent, and for making it so easy for the one out of a hundred time when it went wrong. [link] [comments] |
