My first attempt at a Mai tai

Lemme know if any of this is taboo for a mai tai as it seems there’s a lot of different ways to make one but; 1oz chairman’s reserve rum 1oz planteray white rum 0.5oz grand marnier 0.75oz freshly squeezed lime juice 0.5oz orgeat (Home made used Anders Erickson’s recipe) 0.25oz Demerara syrup

Pour all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake until chilled, double strained in a rocks glass with crushed ice, opted for no garnish

Gotta say I’m very pleased, it’s so bizarre the way I taste banana just from the rum, what should be the most forward tasting flavor on a Mai tai?
