Went with the version involving fire to kick off the month. Loved it, but probably would have liked it even more cold.

• 2 oz Cognac
• 1 oz Campari
• 1 oz fresh lemon juice
• 2/3oz 2:1 sugar syrup

Everything but to Cognac chilled and stirred in a mixing glass and poured into chilled coupes. Cognac warmed, then lit on fire and poured into the glasses. Expressed and garnished with flamed lemon peel.
