“Nelson German introduced the Chan Chan cocktail at his Afro-Latin cocktail lounge, Sobre Mesa, in Oakland, California, around early 2022. The cocktail was a collaborative creation between German and bar consultants Susan Eggett and Alex Maynard . The name “Chan Chan” pays homage to the 1984 song by Cuban composer Compay Segundo, popularized by the Buena Vista Social Club in the 1990s.”

• 1.5 oz Charanda Blanco
• 3/4 oz Lime Juice
• 1/4 oz Banana Liqueur
• 1/4 oz 2:1 Honey Syrup
• One Egg White
