Piñaritas! and a balcony gardening day
| We're taking advantage of the beautiful Midwest weather to setup our balcony garden and I mixed up Piñaritas. Recipe (makes 2): Start by cutting a pineapple, save two rounds about .5 inch thick, cut them into halves and remove the core. You'll use these to build the drink. Turn your oven to ~325 and lay out coconut shavings on a baking sheet. Once the oven is to temp, put the coconut shavings in for ~6-8 mins. Prepare two large rocks glasses by lining the rim with honey, then dip the glass into the toasted coconut. Put the following in a blender- 4oz Blanco Tequila (I used Suavacito) 1oz Cointreau .25oz Blue Agave 1oz fresh lime juice About 1cup of fresh pineapple Blend shortly, then move the contents to a Shaker w/ ice. Pour the drink into the glasses, add/cram the fresh pineapple slices to the drinks. Add a slice of lime if you choose, then top with a pinch of toasted coconut. [link] [comments] |
