Wanted to make a last word riff with whiskey and absinthe. I ended up doing 3/4oz Old GrandDad 114, 3/4oz Cynar, 3/4oz lemon, 1/4oz absinthe, and 1/2oz Demerara simple. It’s good, but a little too bright. The absinthe and lemon are dominant. I think a darker amaro might balance it out- maybe Braulio? Averna? Fernet? Any input is welcome!
