Who Doesn't Love the Clover Club?

Who Doesn

I am generally not one for fruity, ethereal drinks (I am much more comfortable brooding over a short, spiritous cup full of stinging distillates), but I have to admit this is delicious! There is not a lot of sugar despite coming across as a fairly sweet drink. I also very much like the hue, texture, and use of fresh fruit that this drink provides. It's wild to think that this drink is well over 100 years old, according to some sources.

Proud to say I made this one myself. I used the recipe from Difford's Guide, which I am transcribing below:

5 fresh raspberries

1 2/3 fl oz - London Dry gin

1/2 fl oz - blanc vermouth

1/2 fl oz - lemon juice

1/3 fl oz - sugar syrup

1/2 fl oz - egg white

instructions on how to make it can be found here

Upvote it if you think this deserves its spot in the pantheon of classic cocktails / Downvote if you think it doesn't!
