Wire recommendations for beaded chain keychains
| I'm looking for wire recommendations for the beaded eye pins used in my fish lure keychains. Right now I'm using super cheap mystery alloy premade eye pins, but I want to make my own pins and jump rings out of wire. I was thinking stainless steel for affordability and durability, but it might be too difficult to work with. Would a high gauge (20-24) dead soft steel be thin and soft enough to cut and create pins with while retaining durability? Or should I just buy some sort of copper/aluminum alloy wire with a tarnish resistant coating. If the later, can I get brand recommendations? I know serling silver and gold filled wire is the ideal choice but it's out of my price range. [link] [comments] |
