My wife said "Make something stirred with rum and make it wintry". Here's a Banana Boulevardier riff I came up with.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 oz Giffard Banane du Bresil
- fat 1/4 oz Tempus Fugit Crème de Banane
- 1/2 oz Campari
- 1 oz Punt e Mes
- 1/2 oz Smith and Cross Jamaican Rum
- 1/2 oz Appleton 12 yr Aged Jamaican Rum
- 1 slice of bruleed banana (optional)
Recipe:
- Add all ingredients except the banana slice to a mixing glass and stir with ice until chilled and diluted
- Strain over a big cube of ice
- Garnish with a bruleed banana (optional)
Bruleed banana recipe:
- Cut a thin slice of banana and place on a foil coated baking sheet (or other flame resistant surface)
- Put 1-2 eyedroppers of overproof white rum on the banana slice
- Coat banana slice with white sugar
- Flame the sugar and rum coated banana slice until the sugar is well browned
