Hi all! My sweet husband took me to get my first luxury bag for my birthday. my intention for this bag was to be for special occasions and an evening bag. I checked out bags at LV, YSL, and Gucci, and ended up picking up this beauty in the Rouge Cabernet color.

I was too excited at the time and didn’t think through if I would get good use out of this bag. it’s a beautiful bag but I feel like it might be too fancy and just sit in my closet most of the year. The chain strap also makes the bag very heavy so I don’t know if it will be comfortable.

I would love opinions and advice on this bag and if I should keep it. In my research after this purchase, I also came across the YSL wristlet and that seems like it may be a better size for an evening bag for me.

I usually wear neutral colors with some pops of color in the warmer months. I have several Coach bags that I use for my daily and dressing up bags so I want this luxury bag to be only for special occasions.
