Have always wanted to try this. Does anyone have any experience with doing this yourself?

You take 2 cups of pecan halves and soak in cold water for 20 minutes. Strain and spread on a baking sheet. Season with salt, pepper, and a little cayenne. Bake in the oven at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool and mix in a container with 750ml of buffalo trace, stir well. Let sit for a week, room temp, and stir daily.

This is an ingredient in the Death & Co Buffalo Soldier.
