The Romeo Margarita ????
| The Romeo Margarita ???? 45ml Casamigos Blanco Tequila 30ml Lime Juice 30ml Pineapple Syrup 15ml Aperol 5 Drops Rose Water Rim a coupette with a mixture of dehydrated Rose Petals and Pink Himalayan Salt. Add all ingredients into a tin and shake, double strain into the rimmed coupette. Bev Number 14 and we've come full circle - this is my 1st ever competition cocktail, for some of the first stages of Diageo World Class 2024. The brief stated we had to create a Margarita of some kind and knew I wanted to go for a 'Cadillac Margarita', historically a bar's most top-shelf Marg. So the origins of this recipe came from again making some bevs for big DK in Derby, and it actually came together with some substance - the name comes from wanting to name it after an Italian car (sticking with the Cadillac theme and given Aperol is Italian), not Romeo and Juliet, but an Alfa Romeo. I did see the connections here between the two and this is where I got the idea for rose and bam, The Romeo Margarita was born, a Pineapple and Rose riff on a classic, this is bloody tasty and brings me back to my roots of presenting my drinks, cheers!
