Oceanside (got the recipe from one of you guys)
| Got the recipe for this one from the replies to a post I'd made asking for suggestions about what I should use celery bitters in. Made this yesterday and I'm glad I tried it! Oceanside 2oz gin 0.75 oz lime juice (I had some superjuice on hand) 0.75 oz simple syrup small handful fresh mint pinch of salt (non-iodized, plain sea salt) dash of celery bitters Muddle mint and syrup, add rest of ingredients, shake the heck out of it until nice and cold, strain into a glass (I'd kept this one pre-chilled). Don't usually add salt directly into my drinks, but it really does make the drink better. I tasted it both before and after adding salt (shook everything except salt and tasted, then shook again after adding it) and it really does tie everything together. [link] [comments] |
