I saw this in a post by u/dav3d and had been looking for a good excuse to pick up some Fernet and Luxardo Maraschino so I did that today and just put one together. The only alteration I made was to use Early Times Binded in place of the Eagle Rare 10 (I don’t want to open my bottle of ER because I don’t like having too many open bottles at a time, but I will try it with the ER when it is open).

I love the interplay of flavors and the layer upon layer of complexity.

2oz Early Times Bonded
3/4oz Grand Marnier
1/2oz Fernet Branca
1/2oz Luxardo Maraschino
2 dashes Orange Bitters

Mix all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well chilled. Strain into a chilled rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a long strand of orange peel.
