Chartreuse Swizzle

Chartreuse Swizzle

Ingredients:

1 1⁄2 oz Green Chartreuse

1⁄2 oz Velvet Falernum

1 1⁄2 oz Pineapple juice

3⁄4 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)

  1. Pre-chill a Collins glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of pineapple wedge speared with a Traverse City Whiskey Co. Premium Michigan Cherry and grated nutmeg.
  3. Pour all ingredients into chilled glass and two-thirds fill with crushed ice.
  4. Swizzle and then fill the glass with more crushed ice. Swizzle until frost forms on the outside of the glass.
  5. Garnish and enjoy.

Today was unbearably hot and humid and I was craving a classic summer cooler. This fit the bill quite nicely. The interaction of the Chartreuse and Falernum is quite delightful.
