Workshopping a barrel aged Manhattan riff

Workshopping a barrel aged Manhattan riff

I've had Manhattans and Manhattan riffs on my brain for the past few weeks. Decided that I wanted to do something a bit different that I could batch to share with friends. I came up with the following..... It's very enjoyable as is but if any one cares to add their suggestions, I'd love to hear them. A different base spirit brand, vermouth, aperitif or bitters combo? I've yet to do the barrel aging, want to get the spec right first and I think I'm close.

Barrel Aged Manhattan (Name TBD)
1 oz Bourbon
1 oz Rye
.75 oz Cocchi di Torino
.5 oz Select Rosso Aperitivo (Fresh Thyme Infused for 24 hours)
1 dash Espresso Bitters
1 dash Black Walnut Bitters
Aged in an oak barrel for 30 days
