Bought my first Dooney & Bourke bag. Is customer service gaslighting m…
| I kept an eye on the Dooney & Bourke lucca hobo for more than six months and finally placed my order on Black Friday. I ordered the "Cranberry" color, shown in the bottom of the image. The top of the image shows the bag I actually received. It's a very bright red, and it even says "Red" right there on the tag (which you can see in the image) and the included packing slip. Before I even noticed what the tag/slip said, I instantly realized the bag wasn't the color I'd ordered. I emailed customer service that I accidentally received the wrong color bag, to which they responded: "The color of the bag matches what you see on our website...If you are still not satisfied with the item, you can return it...The return shipping fee is $10." I was shocked because, to me, it's so obvious the person who packed the order grabbed the wrong bag. Of course some variation is to expected when you see a product image online vs receive it in person, but I don't think that's the case here. I don't mind sending them back the bag so they can send me the right one, but I think paying $10 to fix their mistake is out of line on their part. My eyes tell me the bag I received is bright red, not a deep cranberry, but they're trying to convince me otherwise. What do you see? [link] [comments] |
