I’ve moved into my first home and got to plan up a “man-cave”. I’ve only had a bedroom in shared apartments before so it is very exciting to have space for this. My Dad gifted me a Nintendo figurine advent calendar. While the figures were cute, it gave me thought of looking for higher-quality figurines and I displaying my love for Smash Bros Melee and Zelda would be fitting. but I wasn’t aware of the existence of Amiibos until a month ago and immediately saw their appeal. Joining this sub confirmed that they can be used for amazing displays so thank you all for the inspiration!

My only rule was to collect as cheaply as possible. I scoured Marketplace for open-box steals and made drives of 1-2 hours in all directions. A lot of people are just trying offload for 5-15$ apiece since their kids have aged out.

Most importantly, using risers added a whole new dimension (literally) and makes it pop.

But the collection is complete for now and I’m in love. Smash Bros on the left, Mario in middle, Zelda on the right. There are 4-5 more custom figurines that will be added next year (master hand, koroks, bowser junior, master sword)
