Tuesday night toss-together
| I got home from work and realized I had nothing for dinner. So I pulled some 2 month old chintan from the deep freezer. Boiled an egg (my wife doesn’t eat ramen and my youngest won’t do eggs) and set it some marinade in the fridge. While the broth was defrosting I made a miso tare with bonito flakes, shiitakes, salt, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, shrimp chili oil, mirin and red miso paste (that’s all I had). I baked some bacon strips in the oven. I assembled it with tare on the bottom, broth, noodles, egg, bacon pieces and a slice of butter and bacon grease. Tasted pretty good.
