Review #1 - 11 yr Old Louisville store pick
| Hello! This is my first formal review I’ve done so be nice. Overview: This is a store pick of Old Louisville’s single barrel barrel strength bourbon from Roco Wine & Spirits. It’s 110 proof MGP 60% corn, 36% rye, 4% barley aged for 11 years Review: Nose: leather, red licorice (for days), molasses, zero ethanol. Palate, everything rolls over from the nose to the palate with some nice oak and oh man is this thing sweet with zero burn but such robust flavors for being a 110 proof. It has a nice oily mouthfeel that ensures these flavors last. Finish: medium to long with some earthy rye and baking spices that start to come through that compliment the sweetness of this pour. Overall: Buy and back it up. This thing for my palate is a 9/10. Some other picks I’ve enjoyed this year to see if your palate is similar to mine: James e pepper decanter Little book chapter 8 Rare character rye finished in maple Smokeye hill BP [link] [comments] |
