New Scotch drinker looking for advice

Morning all. Have just started trying Scotch and would like some recommendations. So far I have tried:

Scapa Skiren: thought this was very nice

Monkey Shoulder: enjoyed this though it doesn’t smell of much to me

Glenfarclas 15: didn’t dislike it but seemed more complex than the top two so I don’t think my palate is quite there yet

Clynelish 14: didn’t like this at all. Tasted and smelled very chemically to me. Again, my palate is probably not mature enough yet.

I found this whisky grid online and as a newbie I’ve no idea how accurate it is. But where would the Scapa and Monkey Shoulder be placed? I would guess bottom left quadrant but I don’t know. I’d like to try some other Scotches similar to those.

I’m also going to buy some samples of different types to see if I like them. In my basket so far are Talisker 10 (to try something peaty) Glengoyne 10 and Glenlivet 18. So some other recommendations would be helpful.

Cheers!
