Tinted primer
Maybe this is a solution for a problem that I’m the only one who has. Or maybe it’s so obvious that everyone already does it anyway. But I just figured it out for myself! I always find that if I use a primer that is the same color as the plastic of the kit (white primer on white plastic, or grey on grey), it’s harder for me to spray light coats. I can’t see the primer very well, so I end up spraying too heavy. But sometimes the kit is white and I want a nice bright red (for example) as my final color. So I started taking a few drops of the final color I’m plank f and just tinting the white primer a little. Enough to see it. Helps a lot, but sometimes I do end up with some interesting initial stages! [link] [comments] |
