Westland Sea King HC.4 | Airfix 1:72
| I have been going at a semi-manic pace to get this build finished - I have a hard deadline, at which it has to go back to England (if it doesn’t make it, it won’t go until next year). One major hurdle with this kit has always been the cockpit glass, which comes in three separate parts. Fortunately, I had some GSW Transparent UV Resin, which mean’t no need for messy white glue to dry for hours. I ended up getting the glass installed in about 5 minutes. You’ll also note the air filter - this is not the one from the kit, but is actually 3D printed on my Photon Mono 4. I have, however, spent an ungodly amount of time this week refining the paint masks. I drew these in Adobe Illustrator then used my Silhouette Portrait 4 to cut them out. After a couple (5) trials, I felt confident enough to jump and get the paint down, and the result is damn pretty. This was painted using Vallejo Colours, airbrushed through my Gaahleri GHAD-39 [link] [comments] |
