I from my experience screws significantly help support the integrity of a frame and it doesn’t necessarily take away from the overall build in my opinion. Furthermore, with today’s technology I feel like it would be easy to design a sleeve or cap to cover the screw for builders who prefer to display the inner frame of their kits. In fact I believe the MG Kampfer includes this in its build as a kit from 2001 (I’m pretty sure; don’t quote me on that)
