This is my first time trying to build a model, so I haven't found the routine that works for me, and I want to get the body as shiny as possible. I've wetsanded the primer with 1000 grit, and applied four layers of color paint. I see a lot of videos on youtube where they already have a shiny effect after the color paint. So I was wondering whether I've sprayed it from too far, since it's giving me a matte look. Or would the shiny effect come after the top coat?

What is your routine to get the shiny mirror look? Do you sand after primer, sand after color, sand after clear coat? What grit do you use?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
