PSA: it's okay to buy kits that are badly reviewed or old. Don't fall …
| So been in the gunpla hobby for about 6 months and been hitting a bit if a wall i think we can all understand which is not wanting to have your money go to waste. I have limited time and funds and I want to get the best bang for my buck and build great and interesting kits. I started with twfm line and was blown away. Got rg rvangellions. Rg sazabi. Zeong rg. Mostly im a fan of weird or less traditional mobal suits. I've been down review rabbit holes to make sure all my kits have positive reviews. Then came the Z'gok. I don't know what it was about him. His dumpy body, the claws, the silly no head. He stole my heart but as most people will know he's an older kit. Reviews talking about early rg issues, the mg is old as boots, etc. Point is not a critical kit. So I kept putting them off. After all we have the freedom cosplay edition out at the end of the month. That will do right? After sitting and thinking. I realised sometimes you need to go with your heart. Get the not great kit. Have fun. Middle doesn't mean bad (looking at you rg astral red frame) and it's okay if you get the kit you like, even if it's a situation like my zgoks. Hope this helps someone take the plunge on a mid or older kit, especially for newer people to the hobby like myself. What was these kits but for you? [link] [comments] |
