I got into gunpla in 2018 because I was restless during my summer break of my master’s program. I built about 40 kits before I lost my apartment in early 2021 during covid. I worked in admissions for a med school for 3 years before being laid off. (During that time I built one kit, the HG Love Phantom) Then I went back to grad school to be a therapist in 2024, and I finally have time and a stable job to continue. Building these swords felt to good. It’s been too long; I didn’t realize how much I missed it. I’ve always lurked while I was away. I’d even stop at my local hobby shop to wander the gunpla aisle. It was my happy place. At least I’m home again. If folks are interested, I can give more WIP updates or share my previous built collection.
