Finished my first Ver.Ka last night, this is the most modern kit I’ve …
![]() | I was gonna use this kit to practice water slide application, but it turns out I still don’t have all the supplies I need or a place to safely use all the chemicals that are recommended to make them look good, so that’s on hold. Quick newbie review: It started a bit rough with the gray covering on the core fighter’s window breaking (the first time I’ve ever outright broken a part), but other than that the build process was pretty smooth got it done in just two days of dedicated building. As the title said this is the most modern kit I’ve built as of posting (the second newest was the RG unicorn) and boy did I feel the jump. Building was great, while there was some difficult parts none of them felt outright aggravating. Posing feels amazing, no balance issues like my last two MGs (full cloth and ez8, for reference) and these articulated fingers let me add so much more personality to the pose. My only issues are relatively minor, the rifle and shield are a little to loose in the holsters, I realize it’s so that they can come of easily but a bit more resistance would have been nice so I wouldn’t have to take them on and off when moving the model around my display. And this is more of a design nitpick than a problem with the model itself, but I think the forearms are a little skinny looking in comparison to the rest of it, I understand that the narrative is supposed to be very modular, having multiples packs for different situations, but like you could have added a little armor to the arms joints to balance them out a bit.
