Howdy, modelers. So I'm working on putting a model together for BattleTech. I've got a fairly sizable collection of eggs I got from my time working at Michaels. These suckers are about 1 foot and a half tall and make a fantastic base for Overlord Dropships.

I'm looking to do some major kit bashing and want to know if anyone has any thoughts, ideas or anything that might help me out when it comes to putting one of these beasts together.

Pictured above is a render I found with a quick google search. Intent is to get as close as possible while taking some liberties as needed. The panels I'm not THAT worried about. I have some worbla laying around so I think I can use that for the panels. My concerns are the landing gear. And models that might have something like that would be a huge help. Star Wars Models have certainly come to mind, of course.
