As a warm-up before dipping into the MG Barbatos, I ordered a JMS Schwartzette from AliExpress.

Kit went together really well, no issues with tolerances or anything BUT I forgot to see if the parts were actually PS as printed in the instructions. You can see the left should cracked from my Gundam Marker pour panel liner, so I guess it was ABS.

I superglued it back on and ended up DIYing a panel liner from some acrylic paint and pure isopropyl alcohol which seems to have worked okay.

I wasn’t expecting water slide decals in the kit but they were there so I gave it crack.

Lesson learned: next time I’ll get some mark setter before staring this step! The decals kept popping off and were way more fiddly than I thought they would be.

I also learned that I should have masked off the clear parts before applying decals, as it was much harder touching this thing before I could top coat.

Overall, though, not bad for $12 CAD! I will happily buy other JMS kits in the future!
