Did my first Gunpla the other day. I fully understand the appeal now.

Quick story time. I've been wanting to try out the hobby for a while. Being the type of person I am, I tend to go big or go home, diving head first into anything I do. As far as Gunplas are concerned, that meant buying the RX-78 2 PG unleashed as a gift to myself for Christmas. Needless to say, upon opening the box, I realized how overwhelming the task ahead would be and decided to leave it in the closet until I knew I could comfortably tackle it. I realized that starting off small may actually be the way to go as far as Gunplas are concerned. You know, to get my bearings. Fast forward to this summer, and I went to buy myself something on sale at Canada Computers. Well, what do you know, they had just started selling hobbyist items such as plastic kits, Gunplas included. I grabbed one of the cheapest one, put it aside, and finally built it the other day. I'm pretty sure I messed up one of the legs, but It was a nice and relaxing 4 hours.

Despite really not needing another expensive hobby, I'm looking forward to building more, working my way up the ranks, until I feel able to properly put together the mighty RX-78 PG model.
