Lets settle the great debate. Are packing cubes a non-negotiable part of your kit, or do you think they're overhyped?

The Case FOR Cubes (My Take):

For me, they're not about compression—they're about categories and sanity. One cube for tops, one for bottoms, one for underwear/socks. When I get to my accommodation, I pull out three cubes, not a chaotic explosion of clothes. It turns packing and unpacking into a 60-second task. They create a system inside your bag.

The Case AGAINST Cubes:

I get it. They add weight, cost, and can eat into precious space if you don't pack them full. For some, rolling and strategically placing items directly in the bag works just fine.
