[DISCUSSION] Tudors original designs are severely underrated
| Exhibit A: I got a great deal on a NOS 70330N with box & papers and couldn't be happier with it. It wears great on this black Tudor leather strap, neither too thick nor too large. I was especially concerned about the thickness, since I usually prefer thin watches. Really excited to try it on a number of different straps in the future (Artem Sailcloth, black Shell Cordovan), this thing is a beast. I always loved 70s style chronos with orange accents, but the cushion case Speedmasters were always too large for me and I'm not going to drop $10-12k on an Ultraman. I previously had the Tudor Heritage Chrono on my radar but in blue/cream and sort of forgot about the OG grey/black ones with the homeplate-style indices. This original design feels like a real breath of fresh air compared to just another Black Bay and another design derivative of 60s Rolex. I wish Tudor leaned more into its own design DNA. These go so hard! [link] [comments] |
