There was a post yesterday in r/rolex by a guy who got a green dial OP on his first try and reddit cyber-killed him for saying it’s hard-to-get.

My own story is that this 36 mm green OP is the only Rolex I like and want to buy officially and at official price since I get very anxious about how much rolex gets faked.

So I have been trying multiple ADs in Europe: Vienna, Barcelona, Valencia and recently Cannes. They all tell me it’s impossible to get and just rather I walk out with nothing, some say spend 20k first and you’ll get it in 2 years. Pic related is the first time I even saw it IRL yesterday (tried on 41mm before).

Reddit says this is the watch they make you buy if you want a different rolex so am I supposed to to trick into thinking I want a Daytona? Idk maybe in the US there’s a shitload of OPs but in Europe I rarely see them even ‘for exposition only’. At one AD we were buying a Tudor and I asked can we get a Rolex? AD is like ‘which one?’, I said this and he’s like LOL NOOO NEVER.

I’m not loosing sleep over it or anything but I would buy it at retail any time and wear it a lot since I consider it for my new daily. So tell me, how do I get them to take my money?????
